I’ve tried writing this a Premium I’ll Fight You I’ll Probably Hurt Myself But I’ll Fight You Midoriya Shirt. justifying this criticism, but I think it just boils down to me disliking Mary Sue characters. It’s obviously not a large enough problem because I haven’t seen anyone else complaining about it. So I doubt it’s actually an objective flaw in Horikoshi’s writing. But, onto the other characters and their development. We haven’t seen any majorly good (moral) characters go through hardcore development. Iida developed into a revenge-obsessed douche for one arc. And then he was the same as he was before.

I’m withholding judgment on Uraraka because I think there might be a few interesting things Horikoshi has Premium I’ll Fight You I’ll Probably Hurt Myself But I’ll Fight You Midoriya Shirt. Onto Kirishima, I… well, his character did develop. But it was in the same few chapters where we saw his flaw, as well. It was basically, “He feels bad for being a coward” followed by, “He fixed this by not… being a… coward… hooray!” in the span of four or five chapters. Bakugo and Endeavor are the only ones who have had any real, meaningful development as characters, and this consists of them changing from assholes to not assholes.

While I like this, it’s a little noticeable since those are the two character arcs that have any real meaningful time dedicated to them. I’m just going to Premium I’ll Fight You I’ll Probably Hurt Myself But I’ll Fight You Midoriya Shirt that Deku feels a little one-dimensional to me. There are a few things I noticed that would be very interesting if Horikoshi would just… develop them and explore them. Deku’s temper, which we’ve seen during his fight with Todoroki and with Bakugo. His only drive is to help people, and his lackluster attitude when something isn’t directly concerned with that.
